“ We spent a lot of time at the bar at Umalu while we were staying at the Hyatt Regency Maui. The bartenders mostly Andy Rob were EXCEPTIONAL!!! They treated us like regulars after our first visit to the bar and made us feel like we were at home in paradise. The food was great highly recommend the wood fired pizza Thursday thru Monday only and the bar is a GREAT place to meet other hotel guests as well! Highly recommend Umalu while staying at the Hyatt Regency Maui or even if youre just on the island in the area! Tell Andy that Christian Aly from Austin say Hi!!! ”
“ By accident we wandered along the beach . ...and found Umalu..we were hungry now our tummys are Happy ... I ordered the Ono with fennel and mushrooms. My wife ordered the Street Taco s. Absolutely amazing! When you place your order,, Tell them Joe sent you...they will say Joe Who...thats me .. ”
“ Very good food and with gluten free option clearly marked. Resort style vibe with a dining area and bar. The fish we had was as thick as a steak and was excellent. Their blended drinks are also very, very good. ”
“ Beautiful atmosphere next to the beach, the bar staff is great. The food is good although I the fish and chips was heavily battered. The pretzels are a foot long and very good. Fish tacos were fresh and the ahi salad was fresh. There is a Hawaiian ice right next to Umalu. Staff was always quick to help and we enjoyed it very much. ”
“ Food is good. Highly recommend salad and add protein. Decent price since its in the Hyatt hotel and open late. Portion is regular, not too much not too little. Drinks are a little bit more but the bartenders cant be more friendly. Have fun there and talk to them and ask for their new trials or testings, you would be surprised. ”
“ Cool spot to stop for a drink throughout the day! We ended up getting dinner here and it wasnt busy at all, we were able to snag a couple of bar stools. We ordered 2 pizzas Garden Palace which were surprisingly awesome! A bit pricey, but certainly recommend if you like to hang at the bar! Quick service too! ”
“ Great outdoor pool location if youre after a casual meal at the bar with the sunset, music and live sport going. I went twice and had the poke both times, two different ways. My friend had the burger and said it was great. The staff here are welcoming and friendly as well. ”
